stpBA Storyboarding (Standard and VSTS Editions)
Release Note - v3.02.0103

New Features and Enhancements

Narrative

*

A new window called 'stpBA Page Details' is docked at the top of the Visio canvas. The window lets the user enter some narrative text to describe the current form/report/flowchart. This is equivalent to the previous functionality of right-clicking a form/report/flowchart and selecting 'Edit Narrative....' from the pop-up menu. See 'stpBA Storyboarding Quick Start Guide' page 7 or 'stpBA VSTS Quick Start Guide' page 9.

Narrative

Save as Web Page (Visio 2003 only)

*

HTML output is saved in VML format (IE7 issue fixed).

*

Narrative displayed below the image of the form/report/flowchart.

*

Linked tasks displayed in a table below the narrative text.

stpBA Task List

*

Drag and Drop: Tasks can be moved within the same task type and across task types using drag and drop. Note that items imported from Team Foundation Server (VSTS Edition) can only be moved within the same task type. Other imported items (e.g. imported from Quew) cannot be moved.

*

Short-cut Keys: Press the 'Insert' key to add a task and the 'Delete' key to remove a task.

*

Task Linking: A 'Link Tasks' button Link Tasks button has been added to the stpBA Task List toolbar. Tasks can now be linked to the current page or report by multi-selecting the tasks and clicking the 'Link Tasks' button. See 'stpBA Storyboarding Quick Start Guide' page 11 or 'stpBA VSTS Quick Start Guide' page 13.

*

Traceability Matrix: Renamed the 'Task Matrix' page to 'Traceability Matrix' in the 'Task Spreadsheet'.

Improved Versioning and Change History

*

On performing a minor baseline the version number does not change. The change details are stored against the current version number.

*

On performing a major baseline the major version number is increased and the minor version number is set to 0. The change details are stored against the new version number. For example, performing a major baseline on v0.3 sets the version to v1.0, and the change details are stored against v1.0.

*

Changing a baselined storyboard (e.g. adding, editing, moving and removing shapes) automatically triggers an increase in the minor version and the baseline is removed. For example, changing a baselined storyboard v0.2 automatically increases the version number to v0.3, and changing a baselined storyboard v1.0 automatically increases the version number to v1.1. Note that adding, editing, moving and removing 'Review Note' shapes in a baselined storyboard does not trigger a change to the baseline.

*

VSTS Edition only: On the 'Publish Work Items' screen the 'Increment version' field has been renamed to 'Set baseline'. This option cannot be selected if the storyboard has an active baseline.

Specification Documents

*

At the beginning of the document section for each form or report, there is a sub-section called 'Requirements' containing a list of the linked tasks.

*

The 'Requirements' sub-section now includes the description for each linked task as well as the name.

*

Fixed the issue where the width of wide images exceeds the page margin.

Quew Import

*

If the 'Verification Method' filter is set then import all matching items and their direct parents and ancestors. The children of matching items are no longer imported (unless their verification method also matches).

*

The 'Show Tasks in Specification' and 'Show Task Tags in Specification' task type options default to 'False' for imported Quew task types. Although the Quew requirements will not be included at the start of the specification (because 'Show Tasks in Specification' is False), the linked requirements will be included in the 'Requirements' sub-section for each form and report.
